It looks like it uses a different driver ILI9340 and I see you use source code from Kamal Mostafa's git hub repository for the ST7735R. After removing my ~/.xinitrc, everything was fine. Is there some instructions for just compiling on the Pi ? That'd be pretty cool.

I actually run it without the space, it was a type mistake here. Only values that are multiples of 4000000 are valid (other values will just get silently rounded down to the next multiple). Yeh, links2 is a bit fiddly… I don't use it as I couldn't get rid of the scroll bars, which took up a lot of room.
