In terms of rescue, I've only ever re-installed because rescue mode presents tolos I didn't understand.With perseverence and practice, I can now do some of that. I saw two syntax and am not sure which one to use. If this chroot is going to be around for awhile, you can put these entries in /etc/fstab on the host system to simplify things. The bash script arch-chroot takes care of /dev /sys /proc and much more, which are left alone by the standard chroot.
It's a bad idea to mount the system's /var or /run onto the chroot, if the chroot has its own pid namespace. To install centos as a guest, you use rinse within xen-tools.I do happen to be qorking on virtualisation, in xen, not vmware.xen-tools uses debootstrap and rinse to install a vm system It did a minimal installThe centos dvd didn't have the drivers to see my hardware. That means that you would need to use the bind mount method. check over here It had no kernel, no fstab.
