Do you need your password? Cheers! Turn on windows service :- Application experience Computer (right-click) -> manage -> Service & Application -> service -> Enable Application experience Works for me.. We think these 3 things fixed it: 1) moved the project from a network drive to c: drive. 2) gave me full admin rights to the whole visual studio folder system. try this
Finally, I have to turn to our network team for help to reinstall windows 7. I tried this example: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3360160/how-do-i-create-an-activex-com-in-c But when i build the project i get this error: Cannot register assembly "d:\documents\visual studio 2013\Projects\ClassLibrary1\ClassLibrary1\bin\Debug\ClassLibrary1.dll" - access denied. But it's getting worse - after I delete the file and I hit "F5" it'll show a quick loading cursor then nothing happens. did you try to run in Release mode?
Tonight I am going to run each project separately and figure out what's going on, it's completely random. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/clr/thread/654b346f-2bfe-4bec-86ee-c3f9095a220a- I've tried turning off UAC completely (at least through the UI, is there some other way to turn it off) Monday, April 19, 2010 6:53 PM Reply | Quote Thomas Mack 8-Dec-11 12:04pm It is. Try this, right click on visual studio and do run as administrator, then see if you are able to perform this action. But other then that, this issue is technically resolved but the actual fix is unknown.
When answering a question please: Read the question carefully. http://sonoportal.net/cannot-register/cannot-register-assembly-access-denied-windows-7.html I'll edit some code, and hit F5 and it'll say "Unable to copy file to file" etc. I am working on multiple applications. That target has a condition testing ifRegisterForComInterop is true.
After 2 days google-ing.. Unfortunately, I forgot how I solved it. To do this double click on the highlighted policy on the Local Security Policy above and then you will be getting this window. Check This Out Join our community for more solutions or to ask questions.

The claim was top.exe as being used by another process.
