I also tried making a folder through the console on my other PC that I upgraded to win 7 at the same time. And yeah, specifically the issue is that it will not let you add locations that cannot be indexed.
I have no problem accessing shares from the Windows XP Home 32 bit pc. Someone out there cares deeply for you. However, if incorrectly set, these settings could prevent sharing when you want it.
